“Before you look at winning back lost clients, consider requalifying them first by meeting them where they are.

•       Check you have permission to communicate. If a client unsubscribed, respect it, don’t email them again.

•       Ask yourself if you actually want them back. Clients often only need you for a season, and expecting lifelong loyalty is not always realistic, although the ideal.

Once requalified, build a short, targeted campaign for each segment: for a coaching or consulting business, high-net-worth 1:1 clients, group coaching clients, or online course graduates, speaking to what they specifically need now. For example, a client who finished a course, might respond well to an invitation to a live workshop to work on the content to reignite their momentum.

My recommendation is to keep the campaign to three messages over six weeks:

1.    name their current need.

2.    show, through a case study or testimonial, how you solve it.

3.    paint the picture of what that looks like for them, and the impact it will have.

Winning back lost clients is an intentional targeted activity to encourage meaningful engagement and conversations to lead them back to your business if that’s what they choose.”
