[Express Gratitude post 24] Ending the Year with Gratitude
Today was a beautiful reminder to me of the results of slowing down and being present in the moment, stepping away from my usual routines and allowing space for connection, perspective, and a little bit of dreaming. I’m currently ticking off a long-awaited bucket-list experience: watching the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race in its 80th year. This afternoon, I watched the boats leave Sydney, and over the coming days, we’ll be there again as they arrive in Hobart.
What’s made this even more special is sharing it with my 19-year-old son. He dreams of one day sailing this race himself, and if you ask him, one day on a maxi.

If this time of year feels lighter for you, I hope you’re enjoying that pause. And if it’s a season that brings its own challenges, please know that I hear you, too. So much of that is unseen, especially on social media.
Wherever you find yourself, I hope you can take a moment to reflect on what you’re grateful for. Please share in the comments or privately as a message.
